Prior to his arrest, Travis Scott expressed concerns about the vast disparity in number of Miami Beach Police officers, as evidenced by a newly released video.
Travis is shown fighting with police in the body-cam footage. He frequently expresses his fear of what he perceives to be an excessive police response.
Travis is arguing with police around 1:15 AM, and there’s a build-up before they throw his hands behind his back and slap him with handcuffs. This is NOT a calm night for Travis.
Travis was taken into custody in June on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication after authorities claimed to have been summoned to a marina close to Miami Beach.
Travis Scott’s trouble with the law
As shown in the video, police accompany Travis off the boat and allow him to go. However, when he returns to the yacht to recover his possessions, they stop him and frighten him.
The story was first reported by TMZ. Travis was not charged with disorderly intoxication on Thursday, but the state of Florida is still pursuing a misdemeanor trespassing case against him.
Authorities stated that Travis acted aggressively during the event, which is consistent with what we see in the bodycam footage.
