Olympic Competitor Noah Lyles to Withdraw From the Olympics

After taking home the gold in the 100-meter dash final at the Olympics, Noah Lyles was finally going to realize his ambition. To be honest, he always said that his favorite event to participate in was the 200-meter dash. However, it turned out that Noah Lyles tested positive for COVID-19, and this caused a great deal of controversy. Noah did race, but his performance fell far short of what we know from him or the gold medal. Letslie Tebogo of Batswana, who finished the race in 19.46 seconds, stole the gold from him.

Before the race, Noah Lyles was overjoyed, and he needed medical attention immediately thereafter. Noah Lyles’s spectacular entrance into the final has raised questions regarding his Covid diagnosis.

Following the championship, Lyles’s COVID-19 status was revealed, to which other players beside him voiced their displeasure. Lyles ought to have a harsh penalty for racing with that recklessness and endangering the health of everyone. Lyles’ choice to race even after testing positive for COVID-19 prior to the event infuriated fans even more. However, the world’s response to Leslie’s reckless actions was much more significant than how this made everyone feel.

The word from Noah Lyles to his fans

With the gold and bronze in the 100-meter and 200-meter events, Noah announced on Instagram that he was leaving the Olympics. He was still going to compete in the team competition, but he was not going to do it. He wrote as follows:

“First I want to thank God for getting me through this entire Olympics! Second I want to congratulate Lestlie Tebogo, Kenny Bednarek and everyone else on an amazing Olympic 200m final. Finally I want to thank everyone for the supportive messages. I believe this will be the end of my 2024 Olympics. It is not the Olympic I dreamed of but it has left me with so much Joy in my heart. I hope everyone enjoyed the show. Whether you were rooting for me or against me, you have to admit you watched, didn’t you? See you next time.”
