Singer Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert are engaged.
Beer announced the news Tuesday on Instagram with a simple caption: “meet my fiancé.” The post featured romantic photos from the proposal, including images of Herbert proposing, the couple embracing while wearing rings, and a tender kiss.
The engagement marks a major milestone for the high-profile couple, who have been dating since 2025 and have maintained a relatively public relationship over the past year.
Rumors first surfaced in mid-August 2025 when photos leaked of Herbert and Beer together during an album photo shoot in Hancock Park. Around the same time, Beer liked a Chargers Instagram video of Herbert practicing at SoFi Stadium, fueling speculation.
The pair were later spotted at Chargers games. Their relationship was confirmed on Oct. 5, 2025, when they were photographed kissing on the sidelines before a Chargers game against the Washington Commanders at SoFi Stadium.
Since then, the couple has appeared together at various events, including Lakers games, the Clive Davis pre-Grammy Gala in early 2026, and other public outings. Herbert has supported Beer’s music career, appearing in her “lovergirl” music video and missing part of the Chargers’ offseason program in May 2026 to join the start of her Locket Tour in Europe. Beer has attended multiple Chargers games and spoken positively about Herbert in interviews.

In March 2026, Herbert marked Beer’s 27th birthday with Instagram Story posts calling her “my favorite person of all time” and saying she had “changed my life forever.” In a May 2026 podcast appearance, Beer discussed her preference for a traditional engagement ring over more unconventional proposals.
Beer’s previous relationships have included periods of public drama and instability.
Her first major public romance was with Vine star and musician Jack Gilinsky from roughly 2015 to 2017. The relationship drew scrutiny over their age difference (Beer was 15 when it began; Gilinsky was 18). It ended amid the leak of audio recordings in which Gilinsky allegedly verbally abused Beer. She later addressed the situation in a since-deleted post, writing that she had stayed in the relationship partly in an attempt to “fix him” and urging fans not to make the same mistakes regarding their safety.
Beer was briefly linked to Brooklyn Beckham in the summer of 2017. The connection was short-lived; she later said long-distance became an issue after he left for college in New York.
She then dated club promoter and DJ Zack Bia in an on-and-off relationship from 2018 into 2019.
Beer’s longest recent relationship was with TikTok personality and former Hype House member Nick Austin. They began dating around 2020 (publicly confirmed in 2021) and were together on and off for several years before splitting around late 2024 or early-to-mid 2025. Beer has described the relationship as intense and up-and-down; elements of that period informed songs on her album Locket.
Herbert, 28, is in the prime of his NFL career with the Chargers and is one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league. Beer, 27, continues to release music and tour while building her career as a pop artist.
