Tyreek Hill Claims He Would Beat Noah Lyles In A Race While Trashing Him For His ‘World Champions’ Comment

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill recently made headlines after taking a swipe at Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles over his “world champions” comments. The speedster, known for his lightning-fast acceleration on the football field, did not mince words when he insisted that he would beat Lyles in a race, adding fuel to the fire of what has become a hot topic in the sports world.

The controversy started when Lyles questioned NBA players why they refer to themselves as “World Champions.” This led to a debate among sports fans and athletes alike, with some arguing that the title should only be claimed by those who have won at events involving athletes from around the world, such as the Olympics.

Hill, no stranger to speed and competition, weighed in on the debate during an interview where he trashed Lyles for that comment.

At the Olympics, Lyles won a gold medal in the 100-meter dash with a time of 9.79 seconds.

During his NFL combine workout, Hill finished with a 4.29-second 40-yard dash, seemingly giving Lyles a huge advantage in a head-to-head race.

Yet, Hill did not take kindly to football player’s accomplishments being diminished.

‘Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him,’ Hill said. ‘Then he wants to come out and pretend like he’s sick. I feel like that’s horseradish.’

‘So for him to do that and say that we’re not world champions of our sport, come on bruh, just speak on what you know about and that’s track,’ Hill continued.

Then The Miami Dolphins star was asked about a sprint between he and the current 100-meter world champion.

‘I would beat Noah Lyles (in a race). I wouldn’t by a lot,’ Hill added. ‘When I beat him, imma put on a Covid mask and let him know I mean business, because I do mean business.’

Hill refers to Lyles only winning a bronze medal in the 200-meter dash, and immediately falling to the track after the race’s completion.

Lyles originally made the ‘world champion’ comments at the 2023 track world championships in Hungary. His comments resurfaced at the beginning of the Olympics.

As the discussion continues to unfold, one thing is certain: the rivalry between Tyreek Hill and Noah Lyles has reignited interest in putting these two stars on the track. Whether or not the two athletes ever face off on the track, their spirited exchange serves as a reminder of the electrifying power of competition and the thrill of watching elite athletes push the boundaries of human performance.
