A’ja Wilson Wasn’t Aware She Broke Angel Reese Rebounding Record Because She Doesn’t Hunt Boards

Aces’ superstar A’ja Wilson just shattered Angel Reese’s record for the most rebounds in a single season in the WNBA. Can you believe it? Wilson has been dominating the court all season long, and this record-breaking feat is just the cherry on top.

For those of you who may not know, rebounds are a pretty big deal in basketball. It’s when a player grabs the ball after a missed shot and gains possession for their team. And let me tell you, Wilson has been snatching up those rebounds left and right. She’s got some serious hops and a killer instinct for the ball.

Now, breaking a record like this is no easy feat. It takes a combination of skill, determination, and sheer hustle. And Wilson has it all in spades. She’s proven time and time again that she’s one of the best players in the league, and this record just solidifies her status as a true force to be reckoned with.

The two-time MVP grabbed seven rebounds in Tuesday’s 85-72 win over the Seattle Storm to give her 451 overall this season, surpassing the mark of 446 that was held by Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese.

Reese broke the previous record of 404 rebounds held by Sylvia Fowles during the Sky’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Sept. 1. She added 42 more to her total before a wrist injury ended her season on Sept. 7.

This has been a record-breaking season across the WNBA. Caitlin Clark set the single-season assist record and owns the rookie record for most points in a season.

Wilson is the overwhelming favorite to win her third MVP award after setting the scoring and rebound record. She became the first player in WNBA history to score at least 1,000 points in a season.

So let’s give a big shoutout to A’ja Wilson for this incredible achievement. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love the game. And who knows, maybe she’ll go on to break even more records in the future. Congratulations to A’ja Wilson!
