Women’s basketball in 2024 has had a remarkable year, and Caitlin Clark has been a key player in it all. The Indiana Fever star is already the buzz of the town thanks to her quick ascension and incredible rookie season exploits. His remarks were based on the most recent MVP vote results for the WNBA. Clark’s debut season ended with her placing fourth. To hit this milestone, she garnered votes in the following order: 6 third-place, 26 fourth-place, and 22 fifth-place.

McCants was jubilant with Clark’s achievement. The 39-year-old praised the Iowa native on X. He further emphasized how exceptional her achievement was, saying: “4th best player in the league as a rookie ain’t bad at all!!! That’s without the Olympics and a 0-5 start. We just getting started!!!”

His laudatory remarks were well-founded. To put things in perspective, Clark finished her debut regular season with the highest total of points (769), assists (337), and made three-pointers (122) of any WNBA rookie.
