Robert Griffin III’s Audacious Analysis of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes

Something was wrong today as the chemistry between quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce lacked spark, which is concerning for the Kansas City Chiefs as they want to continue their winning streak against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. While Kelce failed to have much of an impact, Patrick made a costly interception in the first quarter of the 2024 NFL season—his fourth of the season.

Since the slow start was unexpected, it was only a matter of time before the NFL community saw that Mahomes and Kelce’s typical rhythm was missing. While observing the game, Robert Griffin III took to X, the former Twitter, to encapsulate the sentiments that the Chiefs Kingdom was harboring in private: “Mahomes and Kelce need to rekindle their fire swiftly.”

Fans react to RGIII’s bold take on Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes

Just so you know, Taylor Swift missed her first Chiefs game of the 2024 season. RGlll’s deliberate pun “Swiftly” was therefore picked up on.

One admirer, catching on to the smart wordplay, responded with a cheeky GIF of Taylor Swift winking and raising a toast, saying, “I see what you did there.” Here were some reactions :

Jokes aside, it was discouraging for Chiefs supporters to watch Kelce fail to bring his A-game. The Chiefs tight end is currently 34 years old, so some wear-off is to be expected at this point.

But with Sunday Night Football still going on, the Chiefs could only hope that Mahomes and Kelce would rediscover their explosive energy with a little “T-Swift magic”!
