When Elliott’s father, Stacy, vehemently defended his son’s performance in a recent episode of “The Final Word,” the argument took a new turn.
Retaliating against those who blamed Elliott’s slip in performance, Stacy boldly challenged anyone who could provide video proof that his son was “washed up” with $10,000.
Fans have since circulated videos analyzing Elliott’s recent play, but Stacy is unwavering and won’t admit that his performance has declined. Stacy said : “If you say he’s washed up, show me the tape. If you say his career over, show me the tape. And I’ll pay you $10,000,”

Derrick Henry and Elliott, both members of the 2016 draft class, have also been compared again this season. But they have taken rather different routes. Ezekiel Elliott has failed to have the same impact as Henry, who has been flourishing and has over eight times the number of rushing yards Elliott has in 2024.
The Cowboys had the opportunity to sign Henry, but Jones declined, citing budgetary limitations. Rather, Elliott, who was a member of the New England Patriots in 2022, was brought back by the team. Elliott rejoined the Cowboys on a one-year, $3 million contract after leaving them last year.
