Six more claimed victims came forward on Monday, adding to the growing number of lawsuits against music tycoon Sean “Diddy” Combs. Two women and four males are among them, one of whom was only 16 years old when the alleged acts occurred.
The cases, which were filed in a federal court in Manhattan, allege that Combs engaged in sexual misconduct between 1995 and 2021. This adds to the troubled star’s legal troubles, as she is already being charged with sex trafficking.
Jane Doe, one of the plaintiffs, alleges that Combs raped her in 2004 while she was a 19-year-old college freshman.
The lawsuit claims that she and a friend went to a picture session for the band “Da Band,” which is signed to Combs’ label. They received an invitation to a “exclusive party” at Combs’ hotel following the event. But as soon as they got there, things took a dark turn.
What was stated in the filings against Diddy?
According to court documents, a security guard shut the two women in after escorting them to a different room and remarked, “You know what you are here for.” Combs then allegedly entered the room, offered them cocaine and alcohol, and threatened to murder them if they did not cooperate, according to the lawsuit.
He allegedly threatened to kill both of them while forcing one of the women’s friends to have oral sex with him. Jane Doe, the complainant, claims that even though she pleaded with Combs to stop abusing her, he persisted in raping her. The plaintiff’s companion escaped after a security guard briefly entered the room to see how things were going. According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe was left alone in the room for more than an hour before being given permission to leave by another security agent.
In the new cases, all plaintiffs are requesting damages that have not been specified. This most recent court case comes while Combs, 54, awaits his sex-trafficking trial in May. Despite the increasing number of civil claims, he has maintained his innocence and entered a not guilty plea in the criminal case.
The once-dominant music icon’s legal troubles are getting worse as a result of these further charges, which will have a lasting impact on his legacy and career.
