Floyd Mayweather talks about the “close” Manny Pacquiao rematch and brushes off his financial difficulties. In the next 48 hours, Floyd Mayweather is certain that the Manny Pacquiao sequel will be finalized once more.
On September 19, a professional fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao was scheduled to take place at the Sphere in Las Vegas. However, the former asserted that the fight would not be recorded on their records and threatened to violate the terms of their agreed fight contract.
With rumors that the fight would be postponed until August, the two sides have been trying to ruin a deal. It is anticipated that the massive event will now take place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
‘Money’ has now provided an update regarding the fight.
Mayweather stated:
“At this particular time, I truly believe that, you know, everybody is gonna want to ask questions about the Pacquiao fight,”
“We have a lot of new companies, a lot of new faces, and Netflix, I truly believe that we’ll get this done.
“I think we’re almost at the finish line to finish the Pacquiao fight. Eventually, I think within the next 48 hours, the Pacquiao fight should be done.”
Mayweather and Pacquiao’s fight seems to be proceeding as scheduled. Many speculated that the legend was taking the fight as a solution to his purported financial problems.
According to a story, the American was facing threats to have his passport withdrawn due to an outstanding debt of $7 million. However, the veteran has denied the accusations.
He stated:
“Whether you write a good story or a bad story, you’re keeping me relevant.
“When you keep a guy relevant, the money still flows in. So thank you. Negative stories always go a lot further than positive stories.
“A lie will always go further than the truth. My whole goal is to always stay positive, continue to work hard, and continue to push the next generation to be great, teach them the way, and show them how they should move.”
Let’s see how Floyd fares in what might be one of the most watched bouts of modern era.
