Alannah Keyser, a Love Island USA Star, Apologizes After Being Kicked Out for Using a Racial Slur

Alannah Keyser, a second Love Island USA candidate, was sent out of the villa following the discovery of old social media photos that seemed to depict her uttering a racial slur.

She was banned after a video appeared to show her lip-synching to the n-word in a song, and additional screenshots appeared to show her using the same slur in a Snap message and Instagram comment.

According to individuals who spoke to US newspapers like Variety, the posts originated from a private account and were not discovered via broadcaster Peacock’s vetting process because they were not made public until after Keyser entered the villa.

Keyser posted on TikTok following her departure:

“The video is from six years ago, and that word is just not in my vocabulary any more.”

“What has been shared does not reflect the truth, and it’s never been in my character to discriminate against anybody’s skin colour. I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have.”

During the show’s customary mid-season Casa Amor twist, in which new islanders move into the villa to test long-standing relationships, Keyser debuted as a “bombshell” on Sunday.

Prior to her departure, Keyser made a brief appearance in two more non-speaking moments during the first twenty minutes of Thursday’s program, where she spoke with one of the male competitors.

After Vasana Montgomery was eliminated after the lineup was revealed, this is the second time this season that a contender has continued to utilize racist comments.
