Noah Lyles warned his fellow American track star after losing to Trayvon Bromell in the 100 meters on Sunday.
After Bromwell, who finished first in the Paris Diamond League in 9.91 seconds, glanced at Lyles as he crossed the finish line, Lyles criticized him on social media.
Lyles penned:
“Carefully there Treyvon”. “The last person who did this to me didn’t even make the podium next time we met.”

Lyles came up short after a poor start, finishing in 9.92 seconds, his third sub-10 performance of 2026. On Sunday, he was one of five runners who finished in less than ten seconds.
After battling numerous ailments in recent years, Bromell, Lyles’ training partner, earned his second Diamond League victory since 2025.
After the race, Bromell told Diamond League media:
“I really liked my start, I pushed the wheel,” “I know that I have so much more in my tank, the times and data from my biomechanics make me excited for the season.”
It remains to be seen if Lyles will defeat him in their next race.
