Robert Saleh has returned to the NFL following all of the controversy surrounding the Jets and Aaron Rodgers. Robert Saleh quit his position as the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator in 2021 to take a position as head coach of the New York Jets. He delivered on his pledge to assemble a strong defense in the first two seasons as the team’s commander.
On the other side of the ball, though, was the main issue. A stunning trade with the Green Bay Packers let Aaron Rodgers to join the Jets after the Zach Wilson experiment failed. Regretfully, the quarterback sustained an Achilles injury on the fourth play of 2023.
Robert Saleh’s new job
This is why the veteran’s return in 2024 was so hopeful. Many people favored Saleh and Rodgers to win the Super Bowl, but Robert was abruptly fired after the team lost to the Minnesota Vikings in London.
Robert Saleh has joined the Green Bay Packers as a consultant for head coach Matt LaFleur. Saleh was observed evaluating offensive plays on the field during practice this week. Despite his defense expertise, Saleh is supposed to assist Jordan Love in analyzing opposing units.
Matt LaFleur claims that Robert Saleh is not a viable option to succeed Jeff Hafley as the Green Bay Packers’ defensive coordinator. This is merely a consulting position.
