Angel Reese Starts Buying Luxuries With Her WNBA Money

The 22-year-old Angel Reese had an incredible debut season, breaking records in her favorite activity of grabbing rebounds and controlling the paint. I’m not sure, but perhaps Reese’s numbers would have helped her win Rookie of the Year in any other season. However, this year, with Caitlin Clark‘s presence and dominance combined with Reese’s injury, it seemed impossible for the seventh pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft to win the award, even after Reese had a record-breaking rookie campaign.

With her final 446 rebounds, Reese broke the single-season record of 404 set by Sylvia Fowles. This record was eventually eclipsed by MVP A’Ja Wilson and the record for rebounds per game.

Angel Reese attributes her financial stability to her fame

The Chicago Sky have signed Angel Reese to a 4-year, $324,383 deal, which includes an average salary of $81,096 each year. Caitlin Clark helped the WNBA make enormous revenues only this year, but even though it was a historic season, she and many other players made it clear in her Instagram stories that her WNBA salary does not cover her expenses.

Here’s what she said: “I just hope you know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all, I don’t even think that pays one of my bills. Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. I’m gonna do the math real quick. I don’t even know my salary.”

She explains this because, if we compare her earnings in the WNBA with her annual expenses if we were Einstein, we can see that the figures don’t match up. She pays $8,000 a month to rent her opulent residence. Here are some pictures of Angel Reese.

The ‘Unapologetically’ podcast, which she recently started, has received great reviews in its first few weeks of operation. Resse’s career in entertainment is just getting started, but given her level and charisma this season, she may anticipate continued fame. She also discusses her present and next business endeavors in this video.

In the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league, which was established by newly crowned New York Liberty champion Breanna Stewart and Defensive Player of the Year and runner-up with the Minnesota Lynx, Napheesa Collier, the former national champion with LSU will join a select group of elite WNBA players. Six teams with five players each make up the creative 3v3 professional women’s basketball league Unrivaled.
