Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs Leave Dak Prescott off of Their List of the Best QBs

Tensions are starting to arise as two of the Dallas Cowboys’ best defenders, Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs, publicly debated the best quarterbacks without mentioning Dak Prescott, the quarterback for their own club. The Cowboys are known for having large personalities and high expectations. Dak Prescott, who led the league in touchdown passes the previous season and guaranteed Dallas a postseason berth, has seen a sharp drop in performance this year, and his teammates have taken note.

Prescott has been finding it difficult to duplicate his 2023 success in 2024. Prescott has only recorded 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions in his first seven games, and it appears that his accuracy is slipping under duress.

In his previous three games, he has thrown several interceptions, and the Cowboys have lost two of those games, bringing their record down to 3–4. Fans and players are worried as the team’s offense, which was previously among the most dangerous in the league, has fallen to 22nd place in scoring. Dallas’ defense is suffering as a result of Prescott’s turnovers, which have put them in difficult situations week after week.

Parsons and Diggs started out their latest conversation on the league’s best quarterbacks by praising rookie sensation Jayden Daniels, who they think has already won Rookie of the Year. With references to Matthew Stafford and even Sam Darnold, their discussion swiftly shifted to other elite quarterbacks, such as Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, and Jalen Hurts.

Dak Prescott’s name, however, was noticeably absent

More hostility in Dallas may result from the omission. Both fans and analysts were taken aback by the absence. After his All-Pro season, Prescott recently inked a big contract that the Cowboys anticipated would protect their offense for years to come. However, given the difficulties this season, some are wondering if Dallas made a smart investment.

With ten games remaining in the regular season, Prescott has an opportunity to make amends and disprove his detractors, as well as perhaps his own teammates. All eyes will be on Prescott as the Cowboys prepare for their Week 10 matchup with the Falcons to see whether he can overcome his mid-season slump and regain his position as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks.
