Nelle Diala talks about injustice done to her
Two additional Alaska Airlines flight attendants, according to Nelle, were not let go after sharing footage of themselves twerking in uniform on an aircraft. Nelle detailed how she lost her job in a long post: “The company did discriminate against me because my video was geared towards the urban community,” “So, of course, the company would like to embrace ‘all cultures’ but leave the minority girl from the ghetto OUT,”
“The video went viral overnight, but instead of love and support, it brought unexpected scrutiny. Although it was a poor decision on my behalf, I didn’t think it would cost me my dream job,”
Nelle says that no one at Alaska Airlines ever asked her to take the video down. Then it became viral in December 2024. She pulled it down after understanding how much attention it was receiving.
However, Nelle was forced to wait a torturous two weeks. Then, the airlines decided what to do with her after being dragged into a meeting with her superiors to discuss the footage.
Her GoFundMe has only raised $3k in two months.
