When Draymond Green was available to the media after the game, he was candid about the lackluster performance. As the Warriors aim to secure no worse seed than the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference and escape the play-in playoffs, every game matters. The Atlanta Hawks’ 124-115 away defeat of Golden State, regrettably, may hang over the team for the remainder of the season.
The forward for the Warriors stated: “Bad loss,” “It’s a terrible loss. Eleven games left with everything to play for, you shouldn’t have a loss like this.”

In 35 minutes of action, Green went 2-for-7 and scored five points while Golden State was missing Steph Curry. After the first quarter, Atlanta jumped out to a 40–23 advantage, and Steve Kerr’s team was never able to turn things around.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers are only a half-game behind the Warriors, who still have sole control of sixth place in the Western Conference despite the loss, making the few games left even more important.
