Phoenix Suns Reportedly Rejected Juicy Trade From Miami Heat For Kevin Durant Before His Trade To Rockets

Kevin Durant

Hold onto your hats because we’ve got some serious tea to spill about the Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant.

So, apparently, the Miami Heat tried to pull off a major trade to get KD on their team before he made his move to the Rockets. But guess what? The Suns said, no, that’s not going to happen!

According to the proposal from Miami, the Suns would have received Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Haywood Highsmith, Jamie Jaquez Jr., and the 20th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. In exchange, the Heat would land Kevin Durant.

However, the Suns rejected the Heat’s offer, feeling it didn’t meet their expectations. The Suns felt the package from Houston was far more valuable. In return for Durant, Phoenix received Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 draft, and five additional second-round picks.

Can you imagine what could have been if that trade had gone through? The Miami Heat would have been on fire with KD on their roster. But hey, that’s how the cookie crumbles in the NBA. Maybe next time, Miami! But for now, let’s just sit back and enjoy the drama of the NBA offseason.
