Ari Lennox recently ‘went off’ on Martin Lawrence for making jokes about Pam’s looks on his ‘Martin’ show. And I got to say, I’m with Ari on this one – making fun of someone’s appearance is just not cool, especially on a public platform like TV.
Pam was a beloved character on Martin, and she didn’t deserve to be the butt of jokes about her looks. Ari called Martin out on his behavior, and says it’s disrespectful to women of color.
According to Ari Lennox, Martin often spoke negatively or made fun of Pam’s appearance, which she feels was “disrespectful” to women of color.
“The only thing that p**sed me off about ‘Martin’ is that how much he would go on about Pam… This is coming from a girl who, like, I love me a good joking a** movie… But that was f**ked up… Like I am not too woke or something, is what I am trying to say,” Ari Lennox said.
“I’ll always feel a way about that. It’s disrespectful to dark-skinned women; she’s beautiful,” Ari Lennox stated.
Let’s keep calling out this kind of behavior and standing up for each other, just like Ari did. Respect and kindness cost nothing, people!
