Amid Azealia Banks leaking Conor McGregor‘s nudes, his long-time girlfriend Dee Devlin is in the news.
And it’s now clear that Conor will never marry his girlfriend of 16 years as he made things clear during an interview in 2015.
According to him in that interview, he hired Devlin for business and it ends there!
On Monday, rapper Azealia Banks shared alleged nude photos of McGregor, which she claimed he sent to her unprompted.
Banks’ accusations came after McGregor was caught packing on the PDA with a mystery bikini-clad woman on a Florida beach over the weekend. Last year a jury also found McGregor liable after he was accused in a civil case of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room back in December 2018.
The former two-weight UFC champion, who is appealing that verdict, is alleged to have choked the complainant and made her fear for her life in a hotel room. He has faced no criminal charges related to the incident and instead argues that the pair had consensual sex.
The latest cheating scandal has brought McGregor’s long-time relationship into focus, with the 37-year-old’s previous statements on marrying Devlin resurfacing.
Speaking to MMA Fighting in 2015, he said: ‘I love to spoil her [Devlin]. She does not work anymore. I hired her for the business. She works for me now and collects the cheques.
‘Dee worked very hard throughout the years and stuck by me when I had essentially absolutely nothing. I only had a dream that I was telling her.
‘For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she’s ever wanted and to travel the world with her fills me with pride. It keeps me going. We’ve been together a long time. She’s been through it all with me.’
Two years later revealed that the ‘bloody bomb’ spent on the christening for one of their children had taken a sizeable dent out of the marriage budget.
Last year, McGregor issued another update, which indicated that planning for a special ceremony was in the works.
Now, we all know that Conor and Dee have been together for a while and have a couple of kids together. But Conor previously spilling the tea on why they’re not tying the knot anytime soon should tell you that their relationship is purely transactional! And it seems Azealia Banks’ brouhaha has cemented that decision.
