Jake Paul Is Compared to Muhammad Ali by Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather’s squad recently went viral when they discussed Jake Paul and Muhammad Ali, which many boxing fans find odd at first. However, this was more about their influence, work outside the ring, and how they benefited others than it was about their abilities or what they left behind.

The Mayweather Channel was the venue for this conversation. Floyd’s uncle, Jeff Mayweather, a well-known figure in boxing instruction, was asked if Paul and Ali were similar. He stated bluntly:

“I don’t see one. Not one.”

However, the questioner continued, pointing out that Paul’s actions resembled Ali’s when he wasn’t fighting.

Paul pledged to cover his former opponent Ben Askren’s medical expenses after defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Askren is currently undergoing a double lung transplant because of pneumonia and a staph infection. Paul also criticized the American healthcare system and criticized UFC CEO Dana White for failing to assist.

Paul stated:  “None of these people like Dana [White] or any of these people are stepping in, so I feel like I have to do something. That’s really all it is.”
