A husband named Travis Davison and his side chick, Jessica Rios were arrested for trying to kill his wife by setting her car on fire! Talk about a wild and dangerous plot gone wrong. It’s like we’re living in a real-life soap opera! Can you imagine the drama and betrayal that must have been going on behind the scenes in this messed-up love triangle?
MPD said it all started when three vehicles parked in front of the woman’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on South Second Street. The woman told police that she heard a phone conversation on Bluetooth coming from one of the vehicles, a black BMW. She heard a male’s voice telling a person in a silver SUV to “light that (expletive) up!” according to police records.
Someone then got out of the silver SUV, and a woman got on the phone, directing the suspect to the woman’s Camaro. The man who got out of the BMW then walked to the Camaro and poured gasoline on the car from the front to the back, police said.
The woman was inside of the Camaro at the time and, upon realizing that her car was being set on fire, crawled out of the passenger window, MPD said. According to police, the man pouring the gasoline made eye contact with the woman, and the man and woman in the other vehicles, Travis Davison and Jessica Rios, acknowledged seeing the woman. The woman identified that man as her husband. She told officers that she is “extremely familiar” with Davidson’s voice, having been married to him for five years and seven months.
Memphis Police said, “All parties could have stopped the offense to preserve (the woman’s) life. Instead, the actions continued, and the person then lit the vehicle on fire as (the woman) was crawling out.”
