Watch Germany And Lithuania Players Almost Trade Punches During Euro Basketball Tournament

Get this – during the halftime break at the 2025 Euro basketball tournament, players from Germany and Lithuania nearly started throwing down in the tunnel! It was like a scene from a WWE match, but with basketball players.

Apparently, things got heated on the court and spilled over into the tunnel. Words were exchanged, tempers flared, and it looked like they were about to start trading punches but it got controlled.

During halftime of the game, players from both teams met at the Tunnel, which nearly sparked a mini altercation between them. The recent video of the altercation showcased Jonas Valanciunas in a fiery debate with some opponents, while Lithuania’s general manager, Linas Kleiza, was busy trying to cool off Daniel Theis.

After the Chaos in the tunnel, Germany started dominating and took control in both the third and fourth quarters. Germany won the game with the final score of 107-88. After the game, during an interview with MagentaSport, Dennis Schroder reflected on the halftime mini-altercation between the players.

“It was awesome. Great atmosphere. The Lithuanians, the fans, they always travel with the team. But unfortunately, at halftime, they made monkey noises. And that’s something I really cannot accept. Racism in this world doesn’t belong here… That just doesn’t belong in this sport, not in football either. With Vinicius Junior, I’ve seen it happen all the time. But for me, today was the first time experiencing it with the Lithuanians, and it’s sad,” Schroder said.

We all love some drama during a game, but this was next level! Hopefully, they can keep it under control on and off the court for the rest of the tournament.
