WWE has revealed that Saudi Arabia will host WrestleMania in 2027, marking the first time the annual event would take place outside of North America.
The announcement was made minutes ago at a Las Vegas news conference by Triple H and Saudi promoter Turki Alalshikh. The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Logan Paul, Liv Morgan, Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair, Stephanie Vaquer, and Charlotte Flair were among the well-known individuals who joined them.
Triple H stated: “We could not be more excited for this opportunity,”
“This is an opportunity to show the world what I think most people already know, that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world, and excites fans from everywhere.”
“Without the fans in Riyadh, without the fans in Jeddah that have shown up time after time, that have gotten louder and louder every single time we have been there,”
“They know everything. And it’s one of our sort of hotbed fanbases, if you will.”
In 2018, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the WWE inked a 10-year agreement that is now in effect. According to reports, the organization will hold events around the nation for $500 million.
Since the Royal Rumble is also scheduled to take place in the nation in 2026, it will be the second major WWE event to be hosted there in the upcoming years. Triple H gave gratitude to Turki and Nick Khan for putting it together, but he also thanked the nation’s supporters for making it happen.
