Caleb Williams’ 6th grade teacher Kendrick Nupe talks about the Bears star’s NFL career.
Think your 6th-grade teacher was strict about homework and snack time? Well, Kendrick Nupe, the man who once tried to teach young Caleb Williams about fractions and commas, just proved that teachers can also help build NFL careers.
According to Nupe, Caleb wasn’t just a kid with a backpack and a lunchbox. No, he was the kid who told him he would one day be an NFL quarterback, and he did it!
Well, his teacher made it to the Bears game against the Giants and after the game, the two posed for a photo and wrote;
Taught Caleb Williams in 6th grade. He said he’d be an NFL quarterback. I told him I’d be there to see it. He kept his promise. Him and my wife orchestrated my weekend in Chicago to come see him play. Educators our work matters. #FullCircleMoment @ayeeecaleb
At the end of the day, Kendrick Nupe’s stories remind us that NFL greatness doesn’t pop out of nowhere. Caleb Williams may be dazzling fans and torching defenses today, but it all started with a 6th-grade teacher believing in his NFL dreams.

So next time you watch Caleb throw a jaw-dropping pass, just remember: while most of us were figuring out fractions, he was already plotting how to make linebackers look like middle schoolers.
