Cam Heyward has opened up about why he nearly fought QB Josh Allen on Sunday.
Cam Heyward does not mess around. The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle is built like a tank and usually keeps it classy. But this past Sunday, he almost went full “WWE at midfield” against Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Speaking after the game, Heyward explained it all.

Reporters questioned him about it after the loss, and he claimed to have taken a cheap shot from the QB, who he says confessed to giving him a knee to the stomach.
“Being kneed in my stomach, and then jawing back and forth. And I’m ticked off the entire game because, as a quarterback, they’re protected, but I’m not,” he said. “This pisses me off.”
Asked whether Allen’s actions were deliberate, the Steelers star said, “Yes!”
“He even said after, ‘I had to do something to get you off me’.”
To be clear, Heyward and Allen didn’t actually fight. But in that split-second, viewers saw NFL history almost go from football to pay-per-view.

Next game, Allen might wear a mouthguard not for his teeth, but for his expressions.
