Police reveals tire blowout caused Anthony Joshua accident that killed his two friends.
This is not a sports headline anyone wanted to read.
Police have confirmed that a tyre blowout caused the accident involving boxer Anthony Joshua. The crash took the lives of two of his close friends, Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami. Two lives gone, two families broken, and a champion left carrying pain no title can erase.
Authorities say the tire failed suddenly while the car was at high speed and that was it! Precious lives lost!
What are the odds that this same accident that Anthony Joshua survived but unfortunately got two other people killed could have happened to him in the UK where he is based? I admit that accident can happen anywhere in the world, but I know that an overloaded truck would never be… pic.twitter.com/zqhZEWY6t1

According to The Telegraph, traffic police believe the car was travelling over the 50mph speed limit and lost control during ‘an overtaking manoeuvre’ on what locals have claimed is one of Nigeria’s deadliest roads.
Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Police Commander of Nigeria’s Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (Trace), reported that the vehicle had ‘experienced a tyre burst because of excessive speed’.
An eyewitness has also told Punch newspaper: ‘It was a two-vehicle convoy: a Lexus SUV and a Pajero SUV.
‘Joshua was seated behind the driver, with another person beside him. There was also a passenger sitting beside the driver, making four occupants in the Lexus that crashed. His security detail was in the vehicle behind them before the crash.
‘Other eyewitnesses and I began the rescue and flagged down oncoming vehicles to assist. A few minutes after the crash, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps arrived.’
Anthony Joshua survived the crash but survival does not mean peace. He is currently recovering in a luxury hospital in Nigeria, where he is expected to spend New Year’s Eve. While the world counts down to midnight, Joshua is counting losses.
Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami were not just passengers. They were friends, brothers in life. People who shared memories, jokes, and trust. Losing them is not something money can fix.
As the year ends, hearts are heavy. Two lives are remembered. One man heals and the world is reminded that even champions are not protected from heartbreak.
