Influencers Trashed For Using Nancy Guthrie Crime Scene For Content, Beef And Views

A group of influencers is getting absolutely dragged online for using the crime scene and former home connected to Nancy Guthrie as a backdrop for content. Yes, real crime, real tragedy, real house, and somehow, ring lights.

According to critics, some content creators showed up at the property filming dramatic walk-throughs, whispering “exclusive details,” and even using the location to stir up beef with other creators, because nothing says “serious discussion” like arguing in front of a crime scene for engagement.

The internet did not take it lightly.

People called it insensitive, gross and what it looks like, chasing views at any cost. When your content calendar includes “crime scene aesthetic,” maybe it’s time to log off.

One influencer, who goes by Kiki, rocked up in leather micro-shorts, a crop top and motorcycle boots inciting an online feud as many condemned her for the ‘disrespectful’ display.

A photo of Kiki and her cameraman was uploaded on X by Jonathon Lee Riches, an investigative journalist, who captioned the photo: ‘A woman and her cameraman just arrived to Nancy Guthrie‘s home.’

The comments of the post quickly filled with ‘disgusted’ users who said her outfit was inappropriate.

‘Um, they do not appear to be serious news people,’ one said.

‘Seems like odd outfits to be wearing,’ another wrote.

‘Her boots cover more than her shorts, just sayin.’

‘I’m sorry but this is damn near blasphemous. I really feel sorry for the Guthrie family,’ a fourth comment said.

‘Is it just me that thinks this is extremely disrespectful to be doing a full on photo shoot with your ass cheeks hanging out in front of Nancy’s house.’

‘This seems to have devolved into a freak show outside Nancy’s house. The neighbors must be loving it.’

The influencer KiKi never stayed down as she’s she’s been trashed. She hit back!

‘I have to say thank you to JLR. You successfully turned all the attention from Nancy Guthrie and diverted it to me,’ she wrote in a separate post.

‘I think the FBI would applaud you for your job well done! While you were focusing all your attention [on] me, I was reporting the facts and raising awareness in my own video.’

At the end of the day, there’s a fine line between storytelling and spectacle. And when the ring light shines brighter than empathy, people notice.

This whole mess is a reminder that not every location is a content opportunity. Some places deserve quiet, some stories deserve respect.

And maybe, just maybe, not everything needs to be turned into views.
