Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been placed on the injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury and is anticipated to be sidelined for the rest of the 2025 season, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Monday.

Arnold sustained the injury during the Thanksgiving loss to the Packers, marking his first game back following a two-game absence due to a concussion. He has participated in only eight games so far in his second season in the NFL.
In those eight games, Arnold recorded 31 tackles and one interception.
He is the latest among numerous injuries affecting the Lions this past week. On Monday, Detroit’s injury report listed 10 players, which is the highest number this season. Notably, receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, receiver Kalif Raymond, and tight end Brock Wright were unable to practice on Monday because of their injuries. The Lions are scheduled to face a strong Cowboys team on Thursday Night Football.
Before the 2025 season kicked off, Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. also suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. Now, Arnold has become the second cornerback to experience a similar issue in Detroit this year.
Detroit will rely on D.J. Reed, Amik Robertson, and Rock Ya-Sin to take on a greater share of responsibilities in the secondary.
