During Wednesday’s game, Tyler Herro‘s nuts were whacked, but it wasn’t by an aggressive opponent—rather, it was the referee’s fault!
Herro was ready to make a technical free throw in the second quarter of the Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center when the low blow occurred.
NBA referee Jenna Reneau handed the ball to the Heat guard as he moved to the charity stripe, but Herro was not paying attention when it hit him in the manhood.
After witnessing the NBA All-Star collapse in agony, Reneau recognized the harm had been done and went to check on him.
After a few moments, Herro, 25, seemed to be fine, and once the pain subsided, he was able to laugh it off.
The Warmth? Not very much. Despite Herro’s 20 points, they were defeated 108-118. Because he only scored in the first half of the game, he did receive some criticism.
Even though his balls made it through the night, Ty, an ice pack still goes a long way.
