Rapper Cardi B took to social media Monday to vehemently defend NFL star Stefon Diggs, sharing a text message she claims proves his former personal chef is lying about allegations of physical assault.
The Grammy-winning artist posted the defense on X, formerly Twitter, after users criticized her continued support of the New England Patriots wide receiver. Diggs is currently facing a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery stemming from a Dec. 2 incident involving a former employee.
“Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!” Cardi B wrote. She included a screenshot of a text message allegedly sent by the chef, though the full context of the conversation was not immediately clear.
The chef, identified in police reports as Mila Adams, alleged that Diggs slapped and choked her during a dispute over back pay at his Dedham home. According to the police report, the incident occurred early in December, but charges were not formally sought until weeks later.
Cardi B, who recently welcomed a son with Diggs, claimed she had been in daily contact with the chef until the woman left the household.

“I’m gonna let the courts handle s***,” Cardi B wrote, “and when it gets handled I want all yall talkin s*** on your f***in knees with apologies just as loud the way yall been harassing over a lie.”
The rapper’s public stance aligns with the defense maintained by Diggs’ legal team. His attorney, David Meier, previously characterized the allegations as “unsubstantiated” and “uncorroborated,” asserting they are the result of a financial dispute rather than physical violence.
The New England Patriots have expressed support for Diggs, who remained active for the team’s Sunday game against the Miami Dolphins, recording three catches for 43 yards.
Diggs is scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court on Jan. 23, just two days before the AFC Championship Game. He has “categorically denied” all charges.
