Nurse Alexis Von Yates’ Husband Caught Her Sleeping With His Son in Their Bedroom

A Florida nurse already serving prison time for sexually abusing her 15-year-old stepson has been hit with additional consequences, deepening her fall from professional standing and personal stability.

Alexis Von Yates, 35, was sentenced last year to two years in state prison after pleading no contest to a reduced charge of lewd and lascivious battery in connection with the July 2024 assault on her stepson, who was visiting his father at the family home when the abuse occurred and was discovered by his father, authorities said.

In recent developments, the Florida Board of Nursing has permanently revoked Von Yates’ nursing license, compounding her legal and professional troubles and eliminating any possibility of returning to her career in healthcare.

Von Yates — who had been practicing as a registered nurse in Ocala — saw her license first suspended after her arrest in November 2024 and now revoked following a disciplinary hearing. The move reflects the severity with which medical regulators treat misconduct involving sexual abuse, particularly offenses against minors.

The former nurse’s prison sentence also includes terms of community control after her release, mandatory sex-offender registration, community service requirements and fines, as part of her plea agreement designed to spare the victim from testifying at trial.

The Daily Mail revealed in October that Von Yates and her husband had split.

The two wed in November 2017 in Lake Kerr, Marion County, according to a marriage record seen by the Daily Mail, and had two children.

The boy, who told police he was a virgin at the time, claimed she made a joke about him watching ‘step-mom pornos’ and her sexual appetite the week before the attack.

On the night of the assault, she started telling the teenager ‘how horny’ she was after not having sex for two weeks because she had been on her period.

The boy described in detail how Von Yates started kissing his neck, saying: ‘I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.’

The case has drawn attention not only for the criminal conduct but also for the broader implications it carries for professionals entrusted with care and responsibility. Prosecutors and the victim’s family have repeatedly emphasized the breach of trust involved in the abuse, which occurred in a domestic setting where the teenager was expected to be safe.

As Von Yates serves her sentence, the revocation of her license ensures she cannot return to nursing and underscores the lasting fallout from her conviction.
