Ex-Giants Sam Beal Has Been Missing For 7 Months

Sister of Sam Beal is pleading for help as ex-NFLer goes missing for the past 7 months.

Seven months. That is how long Sam Beal has been missing. Seven months of silence, seven months of unanswered calls and seven months of waking up every day hoping today is the day everything changes.

For Sam’s sister, Essence Zhane, the wait has been unbearable.

Once known as a strong, focused athlete who reached the NFL, Sam Beal is now known for something far more painful. He is known for being gone. No goodbye, no explanation. Just absence. And for his family, that absence feels endless.

Beal, who was selected by the Giants in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, was last seen in July 2025 after dropping his girlfriend off at her house, his profile on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System claims.

The cornerback, 29, was supposed to use her car to drive to work, only to allegedly make his way to Virginia Beach instead. After speaking to his girlfriend and telling her he would head back, he failed to do so and hasn’t been heard from since.

‘Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother. We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we’re in desperate need of support on all ends,’ Beal’s sister, Essence Zhane, said on Facebook.

‘I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure.

‘I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around.’

According to his missing persons profile, Beals ‘did not bring anything with him aside from the clothes he was wearing, a pair of slides, and his wallet that contained his banking card and driver’s license.’

His vehicle was also found with his ‘shoes and socks on the floor of the front passenger seat along with some sand on the floor.’

Essence is urging anyone with information to call the Kenwood Police Department at (616) 698-6580 or the Virginia Beach Police Department at (757) 385-4141.

Sam Beal is not just a former NFL player. He is a son, a brother and a friend. Someone who matters deeply to people who are hurting right now.

His sister’s plea is a reminder that behind every headline is a family breaking quietly. Behind every missing face is a room that feels too empty.

If anyone knows anything, even something small, it could matter. It could be the missing piece, it could bring peace where there has only been pain.

Seven months is too long and his family is still waiting.
