Xavier Worthy’s Ex Tia Jones Backs Dacoda Nichole Jones’ Abuse Claims Against Rashee Rice

Tia Jones, the ex-fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy, has publicly supported Dacoda Nichole’s allegations of domestic abuse against fellow Chiefs player Rashee Rice, drawing scrutiny from fans and observers who question the credibility of the claims amid Jones’ own legal entanglements.

Jones, who has been embroiled in a contentious breakup with Worthy involving mutual accusations of assault and theft, expressed solidarity with Nichole shortly after her Instagram post detailing eight years of alleged abuse by Rice. Alongside Sheawna Weathersby, partner of another NFL player, Jones is among those standing by Nichole, who shared photos purportedly showing injuries and property damage inflicted by Rice.

Jones initially left a supportive comment on her page, but deleted it after the replies weren’t favorable.

The support has sparked suspicion online, with some suggesting it undermines Nichole’s story due to Jones’ history of high-profile disputes. Critics point to the March 2025 incident where Worthy was arrested on felony assault charges after Jones accused him of choking her during a confrontation. A Texas court granted Jones a temporary protective order against Worthy following the allegations.

Worthy, however, denied the claims, calling them “baseless” and filing a civil lawsuit against Jones days later. In the suit, he alleged that after hiring a private investigator who caught Jones cheating, he asked her to leave his home, prompting her to physically assault him by ripping out his hair, destroy his gaming room and cause over $150,000 in property damage, and steal cash and personal items. Worthy further claimed Jones fabricated the assault story, leading to his wrongful arrest. Independent witnesses reportedly supported Worthy’s account, stating he was not the aggressor.

The lawsuit accuses Jones of theft, property damage and making false allegations, escalating what began as a domestic dispute into a legal battle with high stakes for both parties.

  • Jones allegedly stole or damaged over $150,000 in cash, a handgun, and other items.
  • She destroyed his game room, including gaming consoles.
  • Jones reportedly made false domestic violence claims to extort money, a home, and cars.
Outcome:
  • The lawsuit and related legal issues were resolved through a private settlement in April 2025, with no further court action.

Social media users have speculated that Jones’ involvement in Nichole’s accusations could indicate a pattern of public feuds with Chiefs players, potentially motivated by personal grievances.

Rice, 25, has not responded to Nichole’s claims, which include physical violence during pregnancy, neglect of their children, and attempts to evict them from their home. No police report has been filed in connection with the allegations, but the NFL has stated it will investigate.

Domestic violence experts stress that allegations require thorough investigation, regardless of public perceptions or associations.
