Sports commentator Skip Bayless has called out Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons for a direct, in-person debate following Parsons’ expletive-filled criticism of Bayless during a recent podcast appearance.
Bayless, 74, posted a video response on X and shared it across platforms, including through his “Arena Gridiron” show account on Instagram, where a Reel captioned “Skip challenges Micah Parsons to sit down in The Arena face-to-face after Micah’s comments about him 👀” garnered significant attention with over 20,000 likes.
In the clip, Bayless said:
“Micah Parsons, I challenge you to meet me face to face on whatever venue you choose. We can do home and home. You can do my new show, I’ll do your podcast… I’ll say right to your face what I’ve always said about you, Micah Parsons. I’ll tell you exactly what I’ve always said about you face to face, eye to eye, man to man.”
The exchange stems from Parsons’ appearance on the “Open Thoughts” podcast with Funny Marco, where the former Dallas Cowboys star unloaded on sports media critics, specifically naming Bayless. Parsons, 26, said:
“Fk Skip Bayless. Fk all them. I don’t give a f**k… You suck. Your show don’t work no more… Come play my position, Skip! Cause I can do what you do. Sh*t, I do it better sometimes.”
Parsons’ comments came amid discussions of his trade from the Cowboys to the Packers earlier in the season and ongoing criticism from analysts like Bayless regarding his performance and team dynamics.
Reactions on social media were mixed, with many fans amplifying the drama. On X, user @DovKleiman shared a clip of Parsons’ rant, captioning it “Holy Sh*t: Micah Parsons goes OFF on Skip Bayless,” which received thousands of likes and views.
In Instagram comments under related posts, supporters backed Bayless with remarks like “GET HIM SKIP ‼️🤣” and “Love him or hate him, SKIP STANDS BEHIND WHAT HE SAYS 🤣,” while others praised Parsons’ directness.
Bayless, who left “Undisputed” on FS1 in 2023 and now hosts his own platforms, has a history of heated exchanges with athletes, including recent sit-downs like one with Draymond Green. Parsons, a multi-time Pro Bowler known for his outspoken style, has previously clashed with Bayless over Cowboys-related commentary.
