Stefon Diggs Sued For Sending Goons to Beat Up Man Over a Ferrari

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been sued for defamation, civil conspiracy and vicarious liability by a former employee, according to court documents filed this week, just days before the Patriots face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, stems from a 2024 incident involving the alleged theft of Diggs’ Ferrari. The plaintiff claims Diggs asked him to arrange transportation for the vehicle from Miami to New York and then to Houston, where it was stolen by third parties in a sophisticated operation, as determined by law enforcement. The former employee denies any involvement and was never arrested or charged.

According to the complaint, Diggs spread false accusations that the plaintiff stole the car, damaging his concierge and consulting business. Members of Diggs’ inner circle allegedly confronted the man at restaurants in Houston and Miami, as well as at his home, demanding the return of gifts Diggs had given him.

The suit further alleges that in December 2025, the plaintiff was assaulted at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami by two men associated with Diggs, resulting in injuries including a torn ACL. Diggs’ brother, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, is also named as a defendant, accused of witnessing the assault without intervening. The plaintiff cites a January 2025 text from Stefon Diggs stating he is “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me.”

No specific monetary damages are mentioned in the filing. A court date is set for Feb. 13, six days after the Super Bowl.

Through the Patriots, Diggs “categorically denies” the allegations. The team released a statement supporting the receiver, describing the matter as an open case during an emotional time.

This is the latest legal challenge for Diggs, 32, who joined the Patriots in a 2025 trade. Weeks earlier, his personal chef accused him of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault in a December 2025 incident, claiming Diggs choked her with his elbow and threw her onto a bed. Diggs has denied those claims as well.

Other off-field issues include a May 2025 video showing Diggs handling a pink substance on a boat, which was addressed privately with coach Mike Vrabel without discipline, and a defamation countersuit against influencer Chris Blake Griffith, who alleged Diggs attempted to drug and assault him.

On the field, Diggs has been a key contributor for the Patriots this season, serving as the primary target in their offense en route to Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
