Following the failure of his spectacular relocation to Baltimore, Maxx Crosby is celebrating a significant personal milestone.
As the NFL community responded to the failed trade that would have brought him from Las Vegas to Baltimore, the star defensive end celebrated another year of sobriety on Wednesday and shared the achievement on social media.
Crosby shared two emojis on X: a diamond and a bald eagle:
“3/11/20. 6 Years Sober,” “God Doesn’t Make Mistakes.”
3/11/20.
6 Years Sober.

After entering treatment for alcoholism in 2020, Crosby has been candid about his recovery process, and the anniversary has grown to be a significant turning point for the five-time Pro Bowler. On Saturday, he and his loved ones, together with well-known artist Shaboozey, had a lavish celebration to honor the accomplishment.
The timing is bizarre because, only a few days prior, it appeared as though Crosby was moving in a big deal. In exchange for the outstanding pass rusher, the Ravens reportedly agreed to give the Raiders two first-round draft selections.
However, on Tuesday night, the blockbuster collapsed.
After Crosby’s examination revealed health issues—possibly connected to the meniscus surgery he had earlier this year following a knee injury—Baltimore withdrew from the deal.
The deal had previously been widely reported and was anticipated to be finalized when the new NFL league year began, so the league was shocked by the abrupt reversal. Crosby is still with the Raiders as both clubs try to decide what to do next.
