Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, have canceled their upcoming wedding, notifying guests via a joint email that cited a “very difficult decision” amid their reported breakup.
The couple, who share two young daughters, had planned a destination ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, for April 10, 2026, with approximately 250 attendees invited. The email, obtained exclusively by TMZ from one of the guests, was sent on March 9, 2026, and read in full: “It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.” It was signed by both “Sarah Jane Ramos and Dak Prescott.”
The cancellation follows TMZ’s March 7 report that Prescott, 32, and Ramos had ended their relationship one month before the planned nuptials. Sources told TMZ the partnership had been rocky for months, culminating in a major argument during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas. Ramos reportedly initiated the split, with no reconciliation expected as the pair now focuses on co-parenting their children.
Speculation has swirled online about the underlying causes of the breakup, with some social media users and reports suggesting a disagreement over a prenuptial agreement may have played a role, especially given Prescott’s recent contract extensions and growing wealth. One circulating claim alleged Prescott pushed for a “rock-solid prenup” that Ramos refused to sign, leading to the blowup in the Bahamas. However, TMZ sources have explicitly pushed back against that theory, stating the rift had nothing to do with a prenup.
Other rumors have pointed to the cryptic Instagram post Ramos shared shortly before the split news broke, featuring a photo collage with friends and the caption: “I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.” Fans interpreted the emphasis on her support network as a subtle hint at emotional strain in the relationship.
Prescott and Ramos went public with their romance in 2023 and announced their engagement in October 2024. Ramos, a certified wine and spirits specialist, had shared social media posts from the Bahamas trip that included celebratory content, some of which were later deleted amid the reports.
Neither Prescott nor Ramos has issued public statements on the matter beyond the email to guests. The Dallas Cowboys organization has not commented on the personal developments involving its starting quarterback.
