Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, have ended their engagement just one month before their scheduled wedding in Italy, following a heated argument during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas.
The couple, who share two young daughters — 2-year-old Margaret and nearly 10-month-old Aurora — went public with their relationship in September 2023 after Ramos attended a Cowboys game against the New York Giants and posted a photo of them hugging, captioned with Prescott’s jersey number. They welcomed their first child in February 2024 and their second in May 2025.
Prescott proposed to Ramos in October 2024 during the team’s bye week, surprising her on a golf course by hiding the engagement ring in a fake golf ball. Their daughter wore a onesie that read, “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you!” Prescott shared the moment on Instagram, captioning it “4ever w/ @sarahjane.”
Sources close to the pair told TMZ that the relationship had been rocky for months, culminating in a blowup during the pre-wedding celebrations, after which Ramos called off the engagement. There had been rumors spreading in the Dallas area about infidelity, but those have never been confirmed. Ramos had posted about her bachelorette party, highlighting the support of her friends, and expressed excitement about marrying “the love of my life” in Italy on Feb. 23, but those posts were later deleted.
The split is described as irreparable, with the former couple now focusing on co-parenting their daughters. A representative for Prescott did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Ramos, a wine specialist, had previously celebrated Prescott’s $240 million, four-year contract extension in 2024, calling him “the most deserving man and the best partner and father” on social media. Prescott has spoken publicly about how fatherhood changed his perspective, saying at a charity event that it gave him a new sense of responsibility.
The news comes amid Prescott’s ongoing career with the Cowboys, where he recently set the franchise record for most passing yards in November 2025. Ramos hasn’t issued a public statement on the breakup.
