Latest Updates on Anthony Edwards Knee Injury

Anthony Edwards, a star for the Timberwolves, will miss many weeks due to a left knee injury.

Minnesota leads the Nuggets 3-1 in their first-round series, and the Timberwolves only need to win one more game to move on to the NBA conference semifinals. The Timberwolves will be without their star Anthony Edwards for a few weeks if they do progress, though.

Edwards will miss several weeks due to a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee that occurred on Saturday night, according to a Sunday report from ESPN’s Shams Charania. The good news is that Edwards did not suffer any harm to his ligaments.

In the second quarter of the Timberwolves‘ 112-96 victory over Denver on Saturday night, Edwards departed the game.

These games may extend until Sunday, May 3 if Game 7s are required, depending on how the remaining NBA first-round series play out. The conference semifinals will probably start the week of Monday, May 4, since that is one week away.

If the series extends to seven games, each round of the NBA playoffs can take roughly two weeks, give or take. Edwards might make a comeback before the conference semifinals conclude if Minnesota wins a seven-game series. If not, he will be praying that his club makes it to the conference finals.

It’s important to remember that, depending on how his Timberwolves perform in the upcoming weeks, Edwards’ season may be finished.
