Megan Thee Stallion has deleted references to Klay Thompson from her Instagram account and posted a series of accusatory messages on her Stories accusing the Dallas Mavericks guard of cheating, confirming the end of their high-profile romance.
A representative for the Grammy-winning rapper told TMZ on Saturday that Thee Stallion made the decision to end the relationship, citing breaches of trust, fidelity and respect.
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house … got ‘cold feet,’” Thee Stallion wrote in one of the now-viral Instagram Stories. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? Bitch I need a REAL break after this one … bye yall.”
Thee Stallion, 31, did not name Thompson directly in the posts, but fans and media immediately connected the messages to the NBA star. Neither Thee Stallion nor Thompson has publicly commented further, and representatives for Thompson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The pair went public with their relationship in the summer of 2025 when Thompson appeared in the background of one of Thee Stallion’s poolside photos. They made their red-carpet debut July 16, 2025, at her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York. Thompson, 35, drew attention earlier this year when he reportedly gifted the rapper a luxury Bentley for her 31st birthday.
Social media users had periodically speculated about trouble in the relationship after noticing the two did not follow each other on Instagram. Fact-checks at the time indicated they had never followed one another publicly, and Thee Stallion previously dismissed breakup rumors in a livestream, joking about gaining “happy boyfriend weight.”

Thee Stallion’s representative said in the statement provided to TMZ:

The breakup comes as Thompson wraps up another NBA season with the Mavericks and Thee Stallion continues work following her legal victories and music career milestones. No further details on the timing or circumstances of the split were immediately available.
