Rapper Offset was shot Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., according to a report by TMZ.
A representative for Offset told the outlet that the artist is “fine.” Details surrounding the shooting — including the exact circumstances, any injuries and whether anyone has been detained — remained unclear late Monday. Hollywood police had no immediate comment.
The story is developing.
Offset, 34, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is a founding member of the Atlanta rap trio Migos alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group scored multiple No. 1 hits, including “Bad and Boujee,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks in 2016-17 and helped popularize the triplet-heavy “Migos flow” that influenced a generation of hip-hop artists.
Offset has pursued a solo career with projects such as the 2019 album “Father of 4” and has remained in the public eye for his high-profile relationship with singer Cardi B, with whom he shares children. Migos effectively disbanded after Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston in 2022.
