At 60 years old, Elizabeth Hurley has apparently decided that aging quietly is extremely overrated.
The actress and model sent the socials into full meltdown mode this week after going topless to promote her latest spring swimwear collection.
Hurley has been running Elizabeth Hurley Beach since launching it at Harrods back in 2005. What started as a celebrity side hustle has now become a full fashion business. And clearly, she still knows exactly how to get people talking.
This latest promo featured Hurley modeling the canary yellow “Paradise Bikini” while wildly posing topless for Instagram. And let’s just say the internet reacted the way the internet always reacts when celebrities confidently break the imaginary rules people place on age.
Surrounded by spring daffodils during an outdoor shoot, Hurley, 60, shielded her naked upper-body with her arms as she modelled the bikini’s distinctive string lycra bottoms.
The actress, who also serves as the brand’s principal model, recently gave social media followers a series of tips on how to take the best swimwear shots.
She wrote: ‘Being photographed in a bikini can be scary so here’s my number one tip: LIE DOWN!!
‘Even in hideous overhead light, or with nasty hi-def camera phones (these were taken on a phone in direct sunlight)
‘If you s-t-r-e-t-c-h out enough and wear sunglasses you’ll look fine. Thank me later.’
Whether people loved the photos or acted dramatically confused by them, one thing stayed true throughout the reaction storm: Elizabeth Hurley clearly understands the assignment.
And judging by the attention her new swimwear collection received, the marketing worked perfectly.
