Draymond Green Trashes And Fires Back At Austin Rivers

The NBA offseason: where jump shots cool down, but opinions catch fire. This week’s episode features Draymond Green, Austin Rivers, and a surprise guest: spicy podcast energy.

It all started when Draymond took a thoughtful stroll down memory lane and suggested that Steve Kerr may have “hindered” parts of his offensive game over the years. Not destroyed it, not ruined it. Just held it back a little. You know, like a coach telling you to pass instead of turning into a one-man scoring machine.

Enter Austin Rivers, who heard that take and immediately hit it with the verbal equivalent of a blocked shot. “Ridiculous,” he said. Not “interesting,” not “debatable.” Straight to ridiculous. According to Rivers, Kerr didn’t hold Draymond back, he helped build him into the elite, championship-winning player we see today.

And honestly? That’s a fair point, but Draymond wasn’t about to let that slide.

On The Draymond Green Show, he responded the only way he knows how: direct, personal, and just a little bit spicy. He hit back and trashed Austin for those comments.

“Austin, you and I averaged the same amount of points in high school and I say high school cause that’s when you were at your best. Should he really talk about my NBA career? The guy received the biggest bailout in US history prior to President Trump bailing out the airlines when his dad gave him 42 million dollars.”

The internet, of course, turned this into a full-blown debate. Team Draymond vs Team Rivers, coaches vs players, and systems vs freedom. Everyone suddenly became a basketball philosopher.

Meanwhile, Steve Kerr is probably somewhere sipping coffee, wondering how he got dragged into this.

At the end of the day, this is classic NBA drama. No punches thrown. Just egos, opinions, and a microphone.

And if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this: never call Draymond Green’s take “ridiculous” unless you’re ready for a podcast episode with your name on it.
