50 Cent Trolls Floyd Mayweather Over $200K Check Fraud Felony Charges

Two men sit side by side at an event, eyes on something off-camera; one wears a colorful patterned jacket, the other a gray t‑shirt and backward cap.

If there is one thing more reliable than taxes, it’s 50 Cent finding a way to clown Floyd Mayweather whenever the opportunity presents itself.

This week, the rapper wasted absolutely no time jumping into the ring after news broke that Mayweather is facing two felony charges in Las Vegas over allegations that he wrote a bad $200K check while buying a luxury watch from a resale store.

According to reports, the boxing legend was scheduled for an initial court appearance on Monday in Las Vegas Justice Court. Floyd didn’t show up in person, but his attorney handled business on his behalf. The case is now set to continue with another hearing in September.

Naturally, 50 Cent saw the headlines and immediately treated social media like it was open mic night.

He posted the news item on his Instagram page and wrote:

The longtime rivals have spent years taking shots at each other online. Whether it’s money, business ventures, reading jokes, or random internet drama, these two have turned public beef into an Olympic sport.

This latest situation was simply too tempting for 50 to ignore.

Prosecutors in Clark County allege that in December 2024, Mayweather wrote a $200,000 check through Wells Fargo Bank to Las Vegas designer resale store Gold and Beyond, despite having insufficient funds in his account, according to the criminal complaint.

Mayweather’s attorney and representatives did not immediately return requests for comment.

The felony charges come as Mayweather faces other legal battles. He was sued in New York over his alleged failure to pay rent at a Manhattan apartment earlier this year, and he was in financial disputes with multiple jewelers. He also filed a lawsuit in New York against his former business manager, alleging a yearslong fraud scheme.

For now, Floyd has a court date waiting in September, while 50 Cent continues doing what he does best: turning someone else’s bad week into content.

The real winner here might be social media users, who once again get front-row seats to one of entertainment’s longest-running rivalries.

And if more developments happen before September, don’t worry, 50 Cent will probably be the first person to let everyone know.
