Seven months after Marshawn Kneeland passed away from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, his girlfriend gave birth to his child.
Catalina Mancera revealed on Monday that their child, Makhai, was born on June 11. She also posted several pictures of the little youngster, including one of him wearing a onesie with his father’s Dallas Cowboys jersey sewn into the material.
A heartwarming video of Marshawn grinning as she presented him her positive pregnancy test was also included by Catalina. Their first child together is named Makhai.
As we previously reported, Marshawn passed away in November of last year at the age of 24 from what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a mental health episode.
Authorities were notified by his partner that he was sending worrisome texts to loved ones, threatening to “end it all.”
During a chase, Frisco, Texas police tried to stop him for a traffic infraction, but he smashed his car and ran away. Later, his body was discovered inside a portable restroom.
Coach Brian Schottenheimer recalled Marshawn as “the most playful spirit of any young man” he had encountered, and the Dallas Cowboys honored him with a locker after his passing.
