The FBI stopped a horrifying terror plot involving explosive drones that was intended for this weekend’s UFC Freedom 250 event in Washington, D.C.
According to federal authorities who spoke to Fox News Digital, the plan called for drones loaded with explosives to attack buildings close to the UFC event, causing mayhem and a large-scale evacuation. Authorities claim that “capitalist elites” and “billionaires” were targeted, along with politicians who received funding from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, in order to direct terrified masses into the line of a sniper team that had already been positioned nearby.
In the federal criminal complaint against Proper, feds say local police received a call on June 10 from Proper’s mother expressing concern about her son’s actions.
When officers arrived at the house, they say Proper’s father told them his son had met random people online with whom he’d been planning “recons.” Cops say his father told them Proper had planned to go on a trip with these people this past weekend. Authorities say Proper’s father told them he used $3,000 of graduation money to acquire camping gear, ballistic plates, a couple guns, ammo, and extra magazines. One weapon allegedly acquired by Proper is an assault rifle painted like the American flag.
According to the docs, Proper’s mother told authorities she didn’t know the name of this group … but claimed they “expressed ultra-religious and anti-government” sentiments — including grievances regarding corruption, the handling of the Epstein files, and data centers taking up water in communities.
According to Fox News Digital, the FBI, working with other law enforcement agencies, uncovered the purported plan and had five suspects under arrest by Monday.
Thanks to Signal exchanges that purportedly revealed them talking about assaulting the UFC event, investigators say they have also identified 23 individuals they suspect are involved in the plot.
On June 10, authorities purportedly found out about the intended attack and initially detained a person in Cincinnati who was allegedly connected. According to reports, more organizers intended to begin the operation by traveling to Fredericksburg, Virginia, on June 12 or 13.
