The fiancée of Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton‘s dream bachelorette vacation to St. Barts ended tragically when one of her pals passed suddenly after she turned 26.
Jade Jones, Haliburton’s fiancée, was visiting the Caribbean island with close friends to celebrate her impending marriage to the two-time NBA All-Star when Makenzi Kern, one of them, abruptly passed away on June 8 due to health issues, according to sources who spoke to TMZ.
According to the outlet, her family does not think that drink, drugs, or foul play played a role in her demise. Uncertainty surrounds Kern’s demise. While supporting Iowa State University together, Kern and Jones grew close, according to TMZ.
On June 6, Jones shared a number of pictures of the party enjoying a boat ride and sunbathing on St. Barts’ beaches on Instagram with the remark, “hopped on a flight to cloud 9.”
Two days before to her passing, on the day the pictures were uploaded, Kern had just turned 26. Jones and Haliburton have not made any public remarks regarding the event. According to an online obituary, Kern passed away “surrounded by her closest friends on a once in a lifetime trip to St. Barthelemy Island.”
