Leanna Lenee, the wife of Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter, posted a video on social media that quickly went viral, in which she expresses open admiration for the large tattoo of her face that Hunter has inked across his chest.
In the clip, which surfaced late Saturday, Lenee appears engaged in conversation with her husband. Text overlaid on the video reads: “When my husband is talking but I can only focus on how good he looks with me tatted on his chest.”
The tattoo, a prominent portrait of Lenee paired with one of the couple’s young son, was done as a Valentine’s Day surprise earlier this year and first gained widespread attention when Lenee shared photos of it on Instagram in mid-February. The artwork sits prominently on Hunter’s chest amid other detailed ink.
Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner from Colorado and the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, signed a four-year, $46.65 million fully guaranteed rookie contract with the Jaguars in June 2025.
The couple married in May 2025 and welcomed their son shortly afterward. They have occasionally posted about their family life and Hunter’s growing collection of tattoos.

While many fans celebrated the video as a lighthearted show of affection and commitment, it also drew sharp criticism from others. Some online voices revisited comments Lenee made in late 2024 and into 2025, when she acknowledged that Hunter “wasn’t my type” at first. She later clarified that the remark referred to his younger age and a past incident in which he had cheated on a previous girlfriend — not physical appearance or financial status.
Critics on social media have accused Lenee of being motivated by Hunter’s contract and celebrity, with some posts speculating about the relationship’s longevity or using derogatory language. Others pushed back, defending the couple and arguing that the scrutiny directed at athletes’ partners — particularly when the relationship involves public displays of love or financial disparity — is often excessive and rooted in jealousy or cynicism.
As of Sunday morning, Lenee had not issued a direct response to the latest round of commentary.
