60s crip leader Eugene “Big U” Henley is facing a new round of serious allegations, and this story has enough drama to fill an entire season of a crime series.
Federal prosecutors say the alleged gang leader, whose real name is Eugene “Big U” Henley, once chased and assaulted rapper Future at Los Angeles International Airport in 2014. Yes, LAX of all places.
Airports already have enough chaos. Delayed flights, lost luggage, people sprinting through terminals like they are competing in the Olympics. Apparently, according to federal prosecutors, an alleged celebrity confrontation was added to the list.
The allegation comes as part of a new federal indictment involving Henley. He has been in federal custody since March 2025.
The new indictment includes allegations that in 2014 Henley and his associates assaulted and later chased a Grammy-winning recording artist through Los Angeles International Airport to collect a debt and for failing to show respect, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in L.A. Although the artist is only identified by his initials, N.D.C, The Times was able to identify him through social media and news reports as Nayvadius DeMun Cash, the rapper known professionally as “Future.”
Federal prosecutors also provided a window into Henley’s relationship with rapper Nipsey Hussle, a fellow Rollin’ 60s Crip whose career he helped launch. Hussle lived with Henley’s family and recorded some of his first tracks in their downstairs studio, according to a 2023 Times article.
The newest indictment has now added another layer to the story.
For federal prosecutors, the allegations paint a picture of someone they believe continued trying to exercise influence even while behind bars.
For everyone watching from the outside, it is another reminder that some legal cases come with details that sound almost too wild to be real.
